Behind the scenes of MiraDreadlocks creation process
Behind the Scenes at MiraDreadlocks
Every MiraDreadlocks set is handmade, one by one — from raw synthetic fiber to finished dreadlock extensions.
This page shows the real process behind MiraDreadlocks: color blending, texture work, handmade dread creation, finishing details, and the small imperfections that make each set feel alive instead of factory-made.
MiraDreadlocks is a small handmade brand based in Ukraine. I create synthetic dreadlocks, boho dreads, dreadlock ponytails, clip-in dreads, and dreadlock accessories with attention to color, comfort, texture, and real-life wearability.
Why Handmade Dreadlocks Are Different
Mass-produced hair extensions can look flat, repetitive, and lifeless. Handmade dreadlocks are different because every set is created with intention: the colors are blended by hand, the texture is shaped manually, and the final result is checked as a wearable hairstyle, not just as a product photo.
When I make a dreadlock set, I think about how it will look once installed: how the roots blend with natural hair, how much volume the customer needs, how the colors move together, and whether the set should feel soft, natural, dramatic, witchy, boho, or bold as hell.
From Fiber to Finished Dreads
The process starts with choosing and blending synthetic fiber. Color is one of the most important parts of my work, because a good dreadlock set needs depth, not just one flat shade.
After the color blend is prepared, each dread is shaped, textured, finished, and checked by hand. Depending on the style, a set may include classic dreads, braids, curls, accent strands, or mixed boho textures.
This is why handmade work takes time. A full set is not produced by pressing a magic button — sadly, no tiny dreadlock goblin does it for me. Every piece is made, checked, and packed by hand.
